Split Second Fitness – Subcontractor Invitation
We are soliciting subcontractor interest and pricing for the upcoming Split Second Fitness project located at 10,000 I-10 E Service Road, New Orleans, LA 70127. The project is sponsored by the Split Second Foundation and designed by Trapolin-Peer Architects.
Project Overview
This project consists of the renovation and conversion of an existing showroom and warehouse into a new fitness and wellness center with administrative offices. The scope includes selective demolition, new structural work, complete interior build-out, MEP systems, finishes, and installation of an elevator.
Major Scopes of Work
Subcontractor opportunities will be available across all divisions, including but not limited to:
Selective Demolition – interior removals, slab sawcutting, limited roof demo
Concrete & Foundations – new slab infills, polished concrete topping, elevator pit, helical piles
Structural & Misc. Metals – steel framing, stairs, railings, roof penetrations/curbs
Carpentry & Casework – rough blocking, cabinets, architectural millwork
Building Envelope – waterproofing, insulation, sheet metal flashing, roofing tie-ins
Doors, Frames, Hardware & Glazing – hollow metal/wood doors, hardware, storefront, mirrors
Interior Finishes – gypsum board, tile, acoustical ceilings, carpet tile, paint
Specialties & Furnishings – signage, lockers, toilet accessories, countertops
Elevator – 1 traction MRL car, 3,500 lb capacity, three landings
Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection – full MEP build-out coordinated with drawings and visual specifications
Schedule & Requirements
Substantial Completion: 242 calendar days from Notice to Proceed
Liquidated Damages: $1,500/day beyond contract completion
Federal Funding: Project is partially funded by the U.S. EDA and subject to Davis-Bacon wage rates, Section 3 participation, and other federal compliance requirements

Subcontractors are encouraged to review the bid documents, drawings, and specifications in detail. Questions and RFIs will be managed through the Centerline BidConnect portal.
